A mixed bag there Merry but some funny ones! In the East Mids people call each other 'duck' and I never, ever said it but when I came up to Yorkshire I straight away started calling women in shops and behind bars 'luv'
Like Stolly I've got feral tendencies too and love walking and running on my own. I've only ever had one pair of white road shoes too and barely ever run on road
Does "Feral" mean "Lame under 'Cap" then?
I get some funny comments from around the country as I call everyone duck.
I started to become Feral but then joined Pennine and was saved.

Bog standard behaviour Stolly, and one becomes even more grumpy as the years pass. Love it .
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.
so, fell running brings on solitude and antisocial tendancies, and results in one dying a sad loneley old person with knackered ankles and knees (well, in my case anyhow)
Can't agree with that one Merry - Humberside doesn't exist, never did really unless you're a bobbie or fire brigade. Hull's definiteley Yorkshire to me.Hull (a.ka. 'ULL) is Humberside, not Yorkshire.
If the yorkies don't want Hull - would the Lankies want it?
Some good stuff there - what's a "cal" though?
Merrylegs, "Lancashire is shit" ???
You friggin' long necked uns spend enough time on yer tippy toes tryin' ter peer ovver und see wot wer upto!
