Revolutions Brewery Co London Porter last night at the Kings head, Silsden. Fantastic, tasty dark porter-style beer. 4.5% from Leeds brewery run by music fans (their beer is all either 3.3% or 4.5%) . Well worth looking out for!

you have confused Axe Edge with Moor Top. It's the little brother, apparently Axe is double everyhting in Moor Top. Just bought myself a bottle, so i'll report back later.

i can report that , as expected, Moor Top is excellent 7/10.

a subtle pale ale with a gentle grapefruity twang followed by a semi-dry bitter finish. the aroma is quite heady. a remarkably tasty beverage for it's meagre alcohol content. well done Buxton

Just checked their website out SF Guy and i see what you mean regards moor top but ive tried that in bottles and its definatley not what id had at beer fest [nice but not lip smackinly hoppy] just wondering if it was a festival special but pretty sure it was called axe edge allthough twas only 3.6% [maybe someone from Buxton brewery might read this and clear it up].
I do know these things happen after visiting a local small brewery to cadge some yeast just as they were running ale into fermenter, when they checked their readings and realised the brew had turned out at 5% rather than usual 4% both brewers looked accusingly at each other, you weighed grain out said one to which other started blaming dodgy scales, outcome was they both started laughing saying 'well we cant sell that as our usual best bitter we,ll just send it to stamford bridge ale fest and think up a fancy name, nice to see even pro's can drop a b****ck.
Re magic rock only one ive had was called rapture [handpulled] well impressed

5 bottles whats that then your hydration plan for rombalds

I've just moved to old Hartlepool, and have started frequenting a 'proper' pub called 'the globe', where they serve the local brew of Camerons 'Ruby Red' Strongarm, at £1.90 a pint the stuff is beautiful and tastes all the better at that price!! Worth a trip to the Headland if anyone ventures to these parts!!

Last night was a bottle of Titanic Stout which was very nice. Tonight was Lancaster Black, which is tremendous !
Might not be venturing up there Rev. Hopefully the beer will travel south as far as Ilkley !

Very impressed with my bottle of Innis & Gunn rum finish ale. Nearly as good as Robinsons Old Tom - almost! Will be getting some more at the earliest opportunity.
