I decide to check out Morrison's specially selected ales 2 for £3 (they have Morrison's name on the label along with the Brewer's) I tried the Marston's IPA (5.8%) and the Black Sheep Golden Ale (4.2%) both very good choices by Morrisons.
    No country for old men.

    Arran Ale - Red Squirrel

Bought for the name alone. Quite nice, but lacking depth. Be a good beer to go with a Sunday pub lunch.

An excellent Thwaites Nutty Black in The Flying Duck in Ilkley last night. Followed by a not so good Titanic Iceberg. Luckily only got a half. Then later in the evening I cracked open an exceptional Ben Rhyding brewery stout. A little expensive at £3.25 for 330cl, but oh so worth it !

Cheated myself to some bottles yesterday and perhaps one tonight! Daring I know..

Doom Bar and Tether I believe. Both a tasty and filling drop, newbies to me.

Tonight is either a McEWAN'S Amber or a Black Sheep All Animals.

out of curiosity... are any of you ale lovers familiar with or even know of the brewers of Wylam or Mordue? Both brewed fairly close to Newcastle and absolute rolls royce of beer makers up here...I was wondering if their good name has reached other parts away from Tyneside? Or maybe the pubs in yorkshire only stock local ales so you never get exposed too stuff from other parts???
