No, but a buff is officially a hat.

I'm at the Brewers Fayre in Grimsby and I've made a terrible discovery. Wainwright ale is not brewed by Thwaites any more, the brand has been bought by Carlsberg! A bottle of pigswill anyone?

A pal of mine cycled 96 miles to Grimsby last weekend for some fish and chips. He also made a terrible discovery.

    He was in Cleethorpes!

I can't see why anyone would want to cycle 96m to here. I'm here because i need recertifying as someone who is safe to work on hazardous area equipment, but i'm going to suggest in my course evaluation that they set up a training centre in the Lake District, because it's grim in Grimsby. I went for a 2m walk earlier; i saw 2 chemical plants, a disused power station, two waste sorting sites and a rather interesting disused railway track including a signal box.

The flatness of this area is utterly incomprehensible to your average fell runner. I'd planned to find a hill to run up, but i failed. You can almost see the curvature of the earth, and it stinks of fish.

Sounds like the ideal location for verifying ability to work on hazardous area equipment.

I spent a cold winter's night (outside) in Grimsby a few years back.
