Pen Fell Race

Got the map of team dolly's site, but it's hard to see clearly. Going to run around tonight I think. Can someone provide the GR's of the CP's, or a route description to go with the map. Mainly can't see the exact point of CP1 and CP3, and is the leg to CP3 the bog?

Hi Iain , hope you made it back from your recce !
CP1 is on the pull up to Caer Bach fort 7455 7355 .
Just after you cross the stream where the walls cross.

CP2 is on the road by Cae Coch house access gate 7325 7155

The "bog" is on the way to ;

CP3 on a mound near the quarry appox 704 750 area.
There is usually a MR landrover at that position.
Al will be there taking photos.

The map is for Radio Marshals to get the right location (!) and
isn't suitable/designed for running with.

I'll be around RL1 , i had entered but been off work with a bug so plan B : (

Another cracking race above Penmaenmawr today: superb organisation, impeccable marshalling, and even the bog did not claim me as a victim. 7 minutes quicker than last year in tougher conditions, so I'm quietly pleased. Mild and dry weather helped to improve a good day and our meals in the 'Fairy Glen' were superb.

This was my first "proper" fell race two years ago and got me hooked. Missed it last year, but glad to say really enjoyed this years race. Thanks go to the organisers, marshals, radio crews, pubs etc.

Results have been emailed to the wife to put on the Eryri site, may happen today but if not it may be a while as we are living elsewhere while we have renovations done so updates on the club site will be sporadic at best for the next month.
