HELLO everyone.
And how are we this fine day?
Hopefully you will be having a good break from work.
Where's everyone been?
Looked after my 3 year old nephew on Saturday. We played hide-and-seek in the living room (i am 6ft2" so not easy to hide anywhere, never mind a single room), for about an hour and a half. He only hid in two different hiding places during the whole time, and then insisted i start hiding in the same place every time (under a blanket on the chair in the conservatory). I'd just done a big gym session and really needed to sit down for a bit. Then played "pirate bingo", basically a pairs card game, where he thrashed me even though i was trying my hardest.
Sunday went down to south Wales for the Brecon Beacons fell race, lovely part of the world and the weather was fantastic (not so fantastic for racing).
My mate and I have just completed a continuous round of the Peak District Boundary Walk. 16 days of great fun. We did it by the guide book so start to finish of each stage as in the book. Clocking up an average of 12/13 miles per day. Most of the trip was brilliant with just a few scratching of heads at some places as routes were hidden or blocked. Tiptoeing past cows and accompanying bull! Getting the passport stamped was a challenge in its self as stamping stations not open or they couldn't find the stamp or as at Tittesworth Reservoir Visitors Centre "we have the stamp but no ink pad" haha. The last 6 stages we got stamped at Jo Royals in Buxton when we finished on Sunday. Days out 16 - Saturday 21st July to Sunday 5th August. Some beautiful weather and one Armageddon day last week. I (Sue) decided I would have a different single gin at the end of each day and I actually managed to do that. Of the 16 my favourites were Rock Rose, Deaths Door and Opihr. Loved it. Well done to those who's idea it was to put it together. <3
16days - 206mls - 33'133ft climb.
MrRTS and MrA were support crew for the 16 days. And a good job they did too.
Solid outing that RTS - good effort
Blooming QAH 😕
Now that sounds great and with a summer to match.
I like the gin idea too.
Well done all of you. A top effort.
Morning all....who's paying attention today??

Office-bound today, with the scenic splendour of the Birmingham ring road outside the window (window complete with steel bars to prevent break-ins, it really is a salubrious area around here....)
Straight from work to the track tonight. Big session.
Dreaming of the weekend and a double of races in the Howgills, with a couple of nights booked in Sedbergh. Bring it on....
