Enjoy the last Wainwright’s 😁The best line over Grey Carg Tarn is by the fence - though by then your feet will be fairly sodden anyway!

I’m planning to make Grey Crag and Tarn Crag my final two Wainwrights (hopefully on Wednesday if I stick to plan). Start at the A6, over Yarlside and Harrop Pike, and finishing at Mardale Head...

    Prepared for the worst weather-wise!

Definitely wet feet then 😁 you will pass near to Mosedale Cottage which is one of the three bothies in the Lakes. Reputed to be haunted... no coincidence that it’s Halloween 🎃

My feet are probably still going to be soaked from the day before... I’m planning to link up my two remaining Central Fells (Raven Crag and Pavey Ark) with a monster ridge run down the very wet central ridge, then over Blea Rigg and Loughrigg down to Ambleside...

We haven't heard from Derby Tup for a while. Hope you haven't had a setback in your recovery from cancer, DT. Or do moderators go into purdah during a General Election campaign?
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.
