i must admit, when i am recalled from furlough, i sincerely hope i am able to work back in the office, so i can have a bit of company, structure to the day, humour... rather than endless weeks of working from home (which is fine and i realise it's a lucky position to be in, but it isn't half boring!)

Is Blackburn the new wild west?

Shootings at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon.

Not good is it. If I was a teacher, I reckon I'd be safer in a class of 30 8 year olds than walking down the street in a regional town

Afternoon tea with my wife in the sunshine in our back garden, with the view to Beacon Hill. She even put a tablecloth on the garden table. Mind you, it wasn't very quiet: the blackbird next door had a lot to say for himself.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

Very quiet in my shed as I summon up the Zen calmness to commence my first proper engine rebuild.

Why do we need an alarm in the Masters Lounge Wheeze?

We never needed an alarm in the "good old days" when I was last in the Masters Lounge a long time ago.

It's worth watching if you haven't seen it. It's not your typical fishing programme. It's actually a little light-hearted fun, and a touch of men's health as both have had heart issues, and some great scenery.
Just done Series 2, episode 2: Carp

Really enjoying it. Still a few to go. River Tay next.
