    my ankle is goosed too - has been for 2 years in feb then I really really hurt it a coupls of months ago so run with it taped up - physio showed me how to properly do it - was more a botch job proir.....anyway - can't run without it but it's helped lots and lots.

    I think most fell runners ankles are a bit dodgy at the best of times? I find taping it up actually is counter productive... my problem is the plantarflexion of the foot, not a sideways instability... but am using a wobbleboard (please no Rolf Harris puns, they are getting long in the tooth now) to strengthen the ankle and it does seem to help...

    yes me too....but mine is mashed up and completley torn ligaments but I don't know the names of them!!

    The one I have torn is the anterior talo-fibular ligament... it sits on the outside of the ankle at the top and attaches the front of the foot to the fibula... I think that is the one I have done in anyway, but without an MRI, I won't know for sure...
