don't clear your lights/window etc of snow, it's snowing what else do you need to see.
At a junction, when you hit ice, slam the brakes on, then wobble your steering wheel side to side.
go play on the m 6, now, how does that sound
Pull the Hand Brake on while cornering to assist smooth execution.
drive as close as you possibly can to the car in front try and touch the bumber if you can - that way you get a decent draft and they can clear the road for you.
If you do have to abandon your car do so halfway down a hill, on a bend and at a junction where its going to block half the road causing maximum chaos
remember, at a snow drift, to steam at it as fast as possible to ensure it clears it, while hoping there is nothing buried in said drift, like the car that has been dumped halfway down the hill on the bend

If the owner of a 4 by 4 then it's safe to assume that your battering ram has superb grip and is now in the safe hands of a rally driver, Go for it! Scare animals , children , old folks to your hearts content.
If you are the prat that was infront of me , drive at 5 mph as your car tax will expire before you reach your destination !
Generally going nowhere fast.
Do NOT try to clear your windscreen in the morning - simply stick your head out of the drivers side window and proceed down the road in an Ace Ventura style manner
