    thats special

    Can anyone tell me any fellrunners from way back that was good at two sports.

    Yes a bit like Jebby is now with fellrunning and cycling but im talking a long time ago
    Alway think to be an elite in TWO chosen sports is very very special. I know Billy Bland did another sport but cannot remember what.


    Im doing an article on it for something

    My Dad was a fell runner and footballer, but wasn't particularly good at either! He raced in the Manx mountain marathon with Joss Naylor (didn't beat him though!)

    Pinno used to play footy at reserve level (i think)....cant remember who he said he played for.

    I once had trail's for blackburn - they didnt want me though

    My old mans name is Geoff Kennaugh, Apparently he was well known for being a "dirty" player. Ha ha! Nick Craig regularly wins MTB marathon races.

    I'm assuming you won't count Orienteering given the similarities? (otherwise there have been a few over the years)

    I've never been to IOM and always assumed 'skennaugh' was a mountain there!

    Presume FREDDIE and A.P.E Knott on the forum aren't the real cricketers?
