    3 Peaks on ski's - snow report

I am hoping to cross-country ski the 3 peaks of Yorkshire tomorrow (Tuesday).

I walked up Pen Y ghent from Horton on Saturday and the snow was absolutely fantastic and totally skiable from top to Bottom - I could probably ski the whole route with half the amount of Saturdays snow level.

I just wish I had brough my ski's!

It s milder today so I am worried that the snow will melt so if anyone is in the area - a snow report would be very much appreciated.

Possible faster if there were no stiles and perfect snow conditions but a lot slower otherwise.

I will test it out as soon as we get enough snow (50cm plus that is (if only))

For me they would need to install a ski lift first
Not fussy, a drag lift will do.

Was up Ingleborough today. Now the temp had risen, the snow and ice is thawing quite quickly. I would imagine Fri-Sun would have been ideal for skis but by tommoz it will be way to patchy and the patches will probably be sleety ice.

AIA, cheers for the snow update. I have always wanted to ski the 3 peaks (or at least one of them) but it looks like I have missed out again.

Not bringing my ski's last Saturday can prove to be a costly mistake....

Yes the webcam is a good indicator of the conditions.

After looking at the Webcam this morning I decided to 'sack it' off and go to work instead.

Well, mustn't grumble - the sun is shining and I am off to Chamonix for new year and there's plenty of snow there.
