I've walked the PW and GR5.

I'd say the PW was do-able, but the GR5 is just too far and steep to do as an ultra run. (now there is a challenge!)

I've a copy of Cudahy's book, if you want to borrow...

I find the use of abbreviations, jargon, three letter acronyms etc and the assumption that everyone will understand them extremely annoying and actually quite rude. It's the sort of thing that often puts beginners off as it make them feel like ignorant outsiders so well done to Al for asking the question.

We're not rude, we're fellrunners ffs. It's fell run speak that's all. I don't always know what some of the compuspeak abbreviations mean lol etc. You only have to ask.
