I loved Downham and Reeth, at Reeth you had to wade across the river just near the end, the water could be chest high so it made for an intersting end to the race.

Ill Bell, from Queens Head in Troutbeck. Fond memories of this as it was my first fell race.
Rossendale Fell Race - usually run around Easter
Witches Clough on Pendle - was once on Anneke Rices Treasure Hunt
Gunson Knott - a hell of a climb and fearsome descent!
I didn't know all those races had disappeared....
Think I'm gonna cry... ... sniff
The Arrochar Alps was lost for many years but now it's back. Yay!
Holcombe tower my first fell race many years ago.
My brother won fast local two years running. Shame I was too lazy to try and take up the mantel.
Was the Holcombe Tower race in anyway shape or form succeeded by the two towers fell race that now goes from the Hare and Hounds? I know holcombe tower was organised as part of sports week, that's it.
High Bentham Gala
this fell race stopped a few years ago.
shame as the gala has collapsed as a result.
I think a lot of these village fell races help keep the show/ gala going.
lets hope we do not lose any more.
I will continue to keep propping them up from the back of the field as long as my knees hold out
