Helvellyn is up there and so is the totally misnamed Little Stand but that last little climb after the final river crossing on the Trunce is a killer!! Not forgetting that most subject themselves to it 9 times in a season, so all races added together it's a stonker of a climb!
Helvellyn is the one for me - the steep grass makes you look around desperately for any rocks to use as steps!
I'd have said either Wharfeego's or Nee Bother's.

Must agree with the ascent of Ben Vorlich in the Arrochar Alps race. Whilst struggling up the mega climb I assured myself there must be another route off only to then see Billy Bland launching himself back down the up route !
This race is apart from the run in all climbing and decending and is not for the weak hearted.

Crag Fell at the end of the Ennerdale. I was told it was just a "little bit of a climb" .... Yeah, right...
