    Bikes Is Dangerous!!

Fellow forumites, we have a fallen Hero. Fired up by Chris Hoy's victory at the weekend (and keen to get to that pinnacle himself), Young Toffer sped off on his trusty winter hack only to come to grief on some dark byway.
The ensuing broken hip and collarbone at least gives him the ideal excuse to pass winter training runs over for another mince pie!

He has his op to fix the busted bits this afternoon. If anyone wants to send a message, post here, I'll print it off and give it to him later in the week. Methinks he's gonna need some reading material!

    Ouch,
No point in saying how sorry I'm sure we all are, so from me, a morale boosting piccy - please print large and in colour.

    Ouch.
Ive come off my bike many times - so far ive escaped both wrists sprained and my left thumb (from the same crash) and the odd cut.

Best of luck Toffer - keep smiling.

You callous b*s*ards!! The bike is, of course, probably fine but at least it was NOT the Divorcocycle!! Now THAT would really have been bad!!

All the best Toffer get back to it soon.
Must disagree with Wheeze about bikes being dangerous. They are just inanimate material objects - until us idiots jump aboard.
Reminds me of my mates dad - a proper old Dales style farmer. He and his wife were accosted by an old dear out of the village who had always travelled everywhere on her trusty NSU Quickly moped - very erratically.
The old dear, "Henry, I'm thinking of getting one of them 3 wheeler cars, but some folk tell me that they are dangerous. What do you think, Henry?"
    LONG THOUGHTFUL SILENCE!
My mate's dad, "Well, Dolly, I guess they'll be about as dangerous as't folk driving 'em"
