I have been informed today by the distributors that the Calendars should be sent out between this Friday and Monday.

As usual it doesn't state in the Calendar what the sketch depicts, so perhaps I should let you all guess!

For the 2009 Calendar it is of a Scottish scene in the Lowther Hills near Durisdeer in Dumfries and Galloway. The Durisdeer Hill Race was one of the 2008 British Championship races.

We have a new artist for the 2009 Calendar. For the last twenty years or so Tony Hulme has very kindly provided the sketch. However, this year he suggested it was time for a change and asked Vincent Booth a clubmate at Cheshire Hill Racers to do the honours.

I was wondering about how the sketch got done. I've done a few drawings of the fells over the years and secretly wondered about getting that gig! Seriously though, I think it's a lovely idea having a mystery sketch and am looking forward to seeing this year's.

Any idea when it'll plop onto the mat?

I was wondering earlier about what colour the cover was going to be. In a meagre 3 years of membership I've gained pale blue, mid blue and black calendars. Sadly I have somewhat anorak tendancies and keep old copies. Surely I can't be the only one???

Hopefully next year I'll do more than 5 1/3 races out of it!
