    Teenager with Altitude

I've noticed this new event on 11 April starting an hour before the Anniversary Waltz race.
Does anyone know the route / where the checkpoints are?
I reckon at 14.1m/6700' climb it will be a toughie.

    There is some info here.

As far as I can make out it's the full Newlands Valley horseshoe taking in Causey Pike, Crag Hill, Whiteless Pike and crossing Newlands Hause to join the Anniversary Waltz route.

    Very very tempting

    Whoooaah! Nice one.
Now I've got the race profile for the TWA I just need to match it up with the map to find the route.
The trouble now is deciding which race to enter ~ the AW race is a cracking course so it will be a difficult decision.

It will be the AW for me. Loved it last year in my first time up and trying to persuade Mrs WP to give it a go this time.

The TWA may be a bit much with the PPP looming as well.

I did that, and reckon the tricky part is working out what YDT has shown as optimum route around Newlands Hause. Be interesting to see what you think the route is. Guess we'll find our once the AW website gets updated.

Looks like High Snockrigg is a checkpoint, plus Newlands Hause otherwise you probably wouldn't go that way.

Just another thought - is there room in the Calendar?

Easter Saturday - AW, TWA and a little further South is Rivington Pike.

Last year there were a few other fell races on this weekend as well as quite a few notable road races.

Looks good, different to what the profile on the other thread seemed to show, but now offers route choice. Presume it is Whiteless Pike not Whiteside which is north of Grasmoor? Looks like this is set to become a Lakeland classic in it's own right!
