Thread: Teenager with Altitude

    Re: Teenager with Altitude

Really enjoyed this, I have felt much worse in the AW, the steady start up Causey instead of the mad dash along the valley just seemed to set everything up for a steady and enjoyable run out - the mist added interest, I found the path to Robinson after leaving High Snockrigg but managed to lose it again in the boggy ground and mist so ran most of that leg on a compass bearing - aimed off left and hit the ridge 100 yards left of the summit so quite pleased. I felt as though I had a really pleasant run throughout but especially from about Hindscarth onwards, probably ran about the same time from here as I normally do in the AW but feeling much better than usual. I was relieved we had the weather we did - the day before or the day after would have been hard work in the heat. Thanks to all involved.

Would indeed have been hard work - was hard enough walking the day after but the views were fantastic - some photos of the day after here http://www.justusuk.com/2011/04/cent...-24-april.html

So is it basically the 'Greater' Newlands HS. Up Causey, miss or over grassmoor?, Buttermere, and then over Robinson/Hindscarth and Dale Head back down the ridge.

Yes! A CP in Buttermere would certainly add to the interest?
This thread and the AW thread certainly contain enough posts from the RO, with links to the joint website.
Not to mention the entry in the FRA Calendar.
