    Talking Mountain Marathon Partner Need

    Hi

I'm looking for a mountain marathon partner for the Highlander, Saunders, LAMM and possibly the OMM.

If you have some mountain marathon experience and are interested in any or all of these please don't be shy!

Nutters or mad axe murderers need not apply.

    Stef

It has occurred to me that I may have ruled everyone out - I can be flexible about nutters since thats most of you!

    Hi Stef.

    Just thinking aloud.......

The nutters are probably fine but I would be wary of 'signing up' to a weekend away on a forum for obvious reasons

(I'm doing Klets (solo) class in Saunders).

    Nee Bother...

You're right - I won't be heading off to the hills without thoroughly checking out said nutter first!

Have been through this process once already but that particular nutter is not available for all the races!

We need an official nutter vetting facility.

    Happy running!

Just kidding really...although Amex does give a straight forward answer and i believe is a very good judge of character.(not sure if he likes me) anyways back to MM's...are you looking to do all 3 or 4 this year (LAMM & Saunders usually only a couple of weeks apart).

I know the Saunders fills up very quickly so you should really enter fairly soon, they usually let you change partners or courses right up to the start, and loads of people on here seem to searching for 'replacement' partners up to the event.

A few folk will probably be 'reccie'ing or practising for the events and also usually post on the recce threads on here. A few from our club usually have a couple of weekends in the Lakes before the Saunders but sometimes do more drinking than running

I hope to do the Highlander, Saunders, RAB, LAMM and OMM this year. I've sent an entry off for the Edale Skyline and am about to enter the Fellsman. I think the Saunders is 4/5th July and LAMM is 6/7 June.

I don't qualify for the Saunders solo - I'm not that good! I have to wait for a team mate to enter with. My mate and I missed out last year because we left it too late. Ho hum!

I'm Southampton based so will not be doing too many reccees, but may do something for the Fellsman and Edale.

    Stef
