    Embsay night race

Many thanks to the timekeepers and to the summit marshal (who got lost) and all runners who took part in what was probably the toughest of the night race series. I would say at least 20 of the 31 entered decided to make more of a night of it by taking alternative routes. Cant beat a bit of local Knowledge Oh sorry most of locals went wrong aswell !!!!

Yes, thanks to Christine and her dog for marshalling at the cross. I'm glad we saw you otherwise YOU would have been gone for ever

    Ta Grifter.

If it hadn't been for those getting lost I wouldn't have got my best placing to date Aren't fell runners a kind lot?

I must admit that as I approached the cross I wondered what all the lights away to the right were - surely there wasn't another group up there? But I had wondered why we hadn't seen more pass us on the return leg - I blame oxygen deprivation from trying to keep up with Mark Horrocks

Some went for longer timed training runs than others!

Yes. Thanks Grifter for a fantastic race.

What more could you want for a night out???

Although I did get lost too, following Derby Tup into the heather.

I've been to lovely Bowland today for a reccee of next weeks run.

Beautifully smooth hills and very straight forward. No one can get lost there!!!

Don't bet on it - there was a six foot high wall to follow at Embsay
