I think you should definitely have that second mulled wine Onehill, it is better to be safe than sorry! I'm on my second glass of red in the hope that it will numb the aches and pains...

Slightly worried about the mince pie connection being a bad thing! I've just had one of those to try and cure me too, but maybe I will wake up worse tomorrow?! What if I have another mulled wine to counteract the effects?!

I can now report that Stolly's fourth bout of manflu is at 1.75/10 and mine is currently at 8/10 (larger number equals really bad!). However, inspired by the spirit of all you stalwarts on this thread, I managed a headtorch run with Stolly and Harry although Haz and I took a low traverse instead of nipping up the last hill. Harry tends to look out for weaker pack members, he's that kind of dog Lassie could learn a thing or two!

Oh dear. Proper (wo)man flu alert. Feel all hot and cold, prickly, lacking in all energy, feeling pukey, snotty, headachey...... Even not feeling much like eating mince pies and drinking mulled wine, and considering not going to my work's night out tomorrow (and we're talking the unofficial inner circle of the best people night out here, not the departmental nonsense)......................... Can I go home please? :boohoo:

Just started yesterday with it yesterday.
Went to chemist and bloke next to me said whisky, honey, lemons and warm water.
Off I went to the booze section.
Just poured my 1st glass of the cure all or sleep.

Had some sort of flu since Tuesday, temperature was just over 40 degrees yesterday so even my (very unsympathetic because she's a paramedic and has to deal with lots of whining types) wife was feeling sorry for me.

Lack of exercise getting annoying now, as is the lack of flavor in my food.
