Did Peny ghent and plower hill on my skis last Wednesday. The race route path up to PG was a bit icy but i say it would have been fine with fell shoes.

Most of the snow had drifted to the nearest 'assembly point' leaving most even surfaces almost free of snow but there was plenty by the walls and just off the path in the heather.

wasn't us bud, there was only two of us in the end, had to take our time anyhow, it was bloody hairy on whernie up and down and the final ascent of inglebugger and first bit of descent, some nasty drifts and ice. But all in all, a great day brilliant views and refreshing.

There is one main car park (pay & display) or you can park on the road near the camp site or on the road over the bridge.

Bit soft under foot in places today, especially final run down from Ingleborough.
