so, all you folks thatlive near or visit horton and the ppp often, can you give me a heads up with how the snow is at the mo?

Did Peny ghent and plower hill on my skis last Wednesday. The race route path up to PG was a bit icy but i say it would have been fine with fell shoes.

Most of the snow had drifted to the nearest 'assembly point' leaving most even surfaces almost free of snow but there was plenty by the walls and just off the path in the heather.

i met three runners coming down off Penyghent as I was going up. assume it must have been you guys. I was then sat in my car where you come out on the road before Ribblehead. looked like you were taking your time lol!!!!

wasn't us bud, there was only two of us in the end, had to take our time anyhow, it was bloody hairy on whernie up and down and the final ascent of inglebugger and first bit of descent, some nasty drifts and ice. But all in all, a great day brilliant views and refreshing.
