Yes I can second this one of the best days to be on any hill the views coming off Tarren Hendre was heaven.
Great race, great organisation, great soup.
Fantastic race, only my 3rd fell race. Got a big surprise with the 3 hills, but hey that's fell running, isn't it?
It was a great day out for sure. Id never been in that part of the world before, and very clearly Ive been missing out- it is simply stunning.
Im thankful for having read the forum the night before having only decided to run at the last minute. I asked a couple of locals about this contour path but they weren't really giving much away.
It was unfortunate that we didnt get to enjoy the views- I was obsessed with watching for the 'secret' path. I really wasnt expecting the 'scree scramble' after about 1.25 miles but it made for an interesting days racing.
Im sure I saw Tim Davies and a young lady, out walking with a dog on the path back home but then again I could have been delirious from skating my way across the treacherously slippy bridge, and overshooting a 'Z' shaped bend(s) shortly after. All in all, a great day out and the nicest Vegetable soup I ve ever tasted all served up in the Railway Inn. First class.

Alastair.
Another excellent set of photos that really capture the atmosphere of the race, thanks Alastair.
Thank you for the comments, it was not the location I wanted to use, but as Tarren Hendre had it's head in the clouds, where I wanted to shoot from, I had to come off the summit and work on the ridge.
Love the bow tie....
Alastair.
