    Wolf's Pit Fell Race

A message received from the organiser of this new race.

    http://www.wolfspitfellrace.org.uk/

I would appreciate it if you could please post a request on the forum for runners to car share to the event (& to drive respectfully through Shatton following the marshal’s directions).

    thanks

    Regards

Might make sense to park at Bamford Rec or the train station and run over the Rec to the Garden Centre and Shatton.

Any locals on here who can confirm?

The organiser has arranged parking adjacent to the start in Townfield Lane, Shatton. In addition there is also 'overflow' parking in the High Peak Garden Centre, 500m from the start field, where you can also visit Hitch n Hike, use the cafe and maybe even buy the wife (or your mum) a begonia for Mother's Day! Or would that be a week too late?

Over 200 entered this race today...very well run, marshalls in abundance, great course, bit on the blustery side but some really good runable sections, bits of everything for everyone and yes a definate little sting in the tail!

Soup, tea and coffee at the finish well derserved after that field that seemed twice as big as it had on the warm up

Thankyou very much to all for a well organised well run race.

Nice to play cat and mouse with Swoop after so long (good run Colin) and to finally meet the delectable Luv Shack!

Excellent race. Sorry I couldn't keep up with you at the end Emma!
    196 finishers against 86 at Lad's Leap I believe.

Yep a good race . Brilliant course . mad dash down to the fjord at the start and way too fast. Difficult first climb mind. Well marshalled and thanks for an excellent well run race.
Quite a few Pennine there and yep I introduced our Emm to the bare chested Luvshack.
I thought there would be a lot there and was proved correct. A new course and slightly this side of Edale meant a few different clubs turned up.
    A brilliant field for parking.
I think the website helped as well.
Well done to Emma, Great run in. You must have seen Luvshack shirtless and that gave you a push.
