I've not done any of those, but from what others have said, Rotterdam is easily the best if you want a good time.
Hoping for a far more successful 2009

Ive seen an article of Prague once and it look pretty good.

Wasnt it Belguin that Gebriselasi (cant spell it so not even trying) set the world record - so you'd get a good time if thats what you want?

I'm supposed to be doing Paris in April if I can stop getting injured. Big race (37,000 entered), but I'm not sure about the atmosphere being as good as London or New York. I'll let you know. It's a fastish course though.

Rome is supposed to be pretty good, but I think a fair bit of it is on cobblestones, although I might be talking b*llocks and getting it mixed up with Turin which is supposed to be pretty good too, or was that Madrid?

    Hope this helps.

I will if I make it to the start-line. Rotterdam is flat and fast, but apparently sends you through industrial estates and stuff. I'm not sure it'd be a great place to have a weekend away either compared to some of the other cities you mention. There's a calendar of marathons here.

Did you mean a Penguin broke the WR in the Spring (or possibly Autumn). Whilst Haile was on holiday in Prague, the capital of Germany, sometime during April, last Autumn

Very funny indeed Al. I dont think the rest of us could be as entertaining if we hired a team of comedy scriptwriters.
