This is a real last minute vacany - Team "THE WELSH CONNECTION" - expected time 12 to 13 hours - we've recc'd it all recently so hoping we don't have to miss out. Go on - you know you really want to do it and only 30 hours now to worry about it.

    Timo,
What went wrong, thought you were already on a team of Bogtrotting High Flyers!?
Guess you didn't get the "late" call either, don't recall seeing your smiley face in the Village Hall!

    Ayup,

Our team fell apart a bit in the last couple of weeks - illness and stuff.

    How did you get on?

I guess there will always be next year Timo!?

In a lot of respects you were "lucky" to sit this one out - the boggy'ist one ever in my experience, found it a real trudge, not much fun thru' the night; feet are still a mess, due to hours of cold soaking & thrashing on flags!!
After the last couple of years of cracking icy & snowy conditions, I'd forgotten how tough it can be.. we even strayed a little on Bleaklow, which was unforgivable, given the company I was in.
Thanks to the aged nature of our team (RC Vets - combined age 249 years!) we won the Vets Prize... I've a bottle of Old Leg Over to down for my sins!

Probably see you on the Skyline if the feet & legs recover by then.

What a great event! Well done Luv Shack. The boggy stretch through the night was hard work, my feet and hands were frozen. The snow brightened everything up a bit, felt like I was running across big sand dunes. I think the first hill I saw through the whole event was the last descent as the clouds lifted.
