Is anyone doing this or has done it before? Sponsored by Dent brewery which is a good sign I think.

Grok on!
I've done it once, a few colleagues from a different club to mine organise a coach trip from deepest darkest Oldham every year and their tales usually include news of some pretty abysmal weather (lots of rain or even snow in some years), but don't let this put you off !!
The course itself is a figure of 8 and from what I can remember is undulating as opposed to hilly, though after doing it you may disagree
If I'd wanted a parrot I'd have bought one
Did this a couple of years ago. A good race, all on roads. There is one steep hill in the first mile and then its all 'undulating' with a few short, sharp 'uns thrown in towards the end. My abiding memory is of two LLamas watching from over a wall.
Done it twice in the 90s. I presume the course has changed since then. I enjoyed the area and can't remember any mega-hills on the course, if it is the same course of course
www.vlaevents.co.uk Fancy something different?
The year I did it we had snow. Lots of it and it resulted in very deep puddles on the course. Infact, places looked like a river race!!! Great fun, loads of good grub in the school hall afterwards.

He is an old bugger who lives on Bingley Moor and loves the mud so an appropriate icon for the fellponies I thought, he usually plods along but occasionally turns in an unexpectedly outstanding performance (like many members of this Forum), made me a tidy little sum at Cheltenham last year by winning by 17 lengths at 146-1!!!!
Grok on!
Yes i back it every time won loads at Wetherby, I to had a good win at Cheltenham, my surname been Mcgoldrick you see, think its named after a surgeon that saved the owners life.
