This has been contentious for as long as I can remember. I'm not sure that the race has used the direct route since the late 80's. It was OOB when I first did it in '88.

You had to head to Ffynnon Llugwy Res last year and down the access road as otherwise it was OOB. Not done it before so don't know any other route.
