    alcohol, age, tiramisu, chocos

Today a guy brought tiramisu at work. That made me thinking this...

Unlike in civilised countries where people drink alcohol without getting drunk, here is against the law for young people to consume alcohol.
Does this mean they cannot have cakes/desert that contain alcohol, like tiramisu or chocolates filled with liquor ?

On the same line, they should also be banned in places where alcohol is forbidden, like at most work places ... ?

I am always bemused when the UK is criticised for it's 'binge drinking' attitudes. Yes, it is bad in this country, but I have been out into the early hours in Paris, Rome and San Sebastian and the scenes there equal your average night in Leeds, Birmingham etc, perhaps with a little less violence, but the people are just as drunk.

I reckon they just express themselves differently when sozzled!

I thought that kids in the UK could drink alcohol in their own home (or someone else's home) from the age of 5. Surely that's young enough isn't it?

As for the drunks in Rome, Paris etc., they are probably just Brits on holiday.

That probably depends on your job. If you're a chef, the answer's likely to be "Yes"; if you're a trapeze artist, it's more likely to be "No".

    Does that help?
