I had a very heavy evening last night and am feeling very sorry for myself today. Have any forumites given up alcohol and, if so, how's it been? Whenever I've tried any period of abstinence in the past, the most peer pressure seems to come from close family!
i gave it up for a day once , have to say i didnt really feel any benefits .
Why would you want to give it up? Sometimes the thought of a pint is the only thing that gets me to the end of a race.

Not had a drop since New Years Ev.
Feel OK, weights dropping off and not craving it at all.
When I get a bit of fitness back I will down a pint or 2.
Not a drop last night before today's race, felt better for it. Can't not drink after a race though, its against my religion

Apart from a few tries when I was younger I haven't touched it. I've never been drunk and never wanted to be. So good luck.
