    Cool Travel Brag!!

    Sorry, can't resist this one.
Found out that there is no money to pay for my travel and accom. for a workshop in London so have had to pay for it myself, as I really thought it would be good to attend. The workshop is free.
    Have managed to put together:
Lunchtime train from Manchester to Euston the day before.
Overnight accom for one night in a 4 star hotel (normal price on the web £172).
Train back the following evening to Manchester
All costing £28.12 (the 12p was the credit card charge)
Guess how it was done. (and no, I do not work for the railways )
    www.vlaevents.co.uk Fancy something different?

    Re: Travel Brag!!

They (the train and hotel) were seperate bookings on the internet, totally legit and no favours (or arms) pulled for this jaunt
Am still gob smacked myself about it!
    the hotel is: http://www.cityinn.com/london/
and all I started with was possibly staying at a YHA for the night.
Shows what can be acheived with the right websites!

Yep, the accomodation was that offer from last minute, the 'undisclosed hotel' offer sent this morning which has 'rooms for a tenner'. In my case, I needed one in London, there was one, so booked it for March.
Went on their website and it usually costs £171
The train was one booking each way, and a fantastic way of saving money. (If you have the right mobile phone!)

Gives all the details of how to receive the tickets. A nice cheap way to get to London from Manchester me thinks!

Decent hotel too. Great location, and I think I've eaten there before, very nice.

    Get you.
