    Anglezarke Amble

It's been many years since I last did this event when it was a bit shorter. Anyroadup it was a grand day out with good conditions and great organisation. An added bonus was running some of the round with local ladies and meeting a few of the old gimmers (meant with the greatest of respect, cos I's a one too) from Horwich RMI.

It was only my third (or 4th) time in 16 years and yes it has changed quite a bit. Had a geeat time yesterday and jogged round the long / full route with my 15 yr old son. We even managed about 4.35
Don't think he is put off bit it was harder than he tought it would be.

Respect to your son, Karen. 4:35 is a good time.

Yes, it certainly was a grand day out. I spoke with the timekeeper afterwards and, fingers crossed, results MAY appear here in due course.

Results (and a few pics) are out here! Many thanks again to West Lancashire LDWA for an excellent event, a month ago already.

I uploaded my Anglezarke 2008 pictures last night. May be of interest for anyone who was there. The weather was good last year.

Just noticed that a finisher in 5.53 was an Alan Heaton (could this have been THE Alan Heaton - Bob Graham Member No 1)?
