    Cool confirmed,

Emmi is going to follow me up I think so we'll be in two seperate cars.

See you Friday, hopefully conditions shouldn't be too icy underfoot

Guys, I was on Fairfield this morning (had to get it in Karl!) ice wasnt bad at all, easy to avoid, medium snow cover, generally light but occaisionally 6-8ins in places which was good for the legs! However, may slow you down a little if it stays overnight. I took some pics but havent worked out how to put them on here yet. Great run though (did the horseshoe) & I'm sure you'll have a good day out tomorrow.

One last thing. Just as a back up for you....I'll be back in Kendal tomorrow from 1.30ish, Karl has my number & if any of you need picking up & re-locating (langdale/grassmere/dunmail) I'd be happy to nip into the lakes & help out.

How'd everyone get on today then? Good time had by all?

    awesome day
    more details to follow
but Special Thanks to KatintheHat for "kicking in" on the snowy face of Bowfell - don't think I'd've got up it without her footsteps to follow in
0h - and for the cashew nuts which helped revive me when seriously flagging

Yeah excellent day, sounds like you had a good time going up Bowfell Daz, meant to post last night to check you had all got down okay. We'll have to have another day soon, don't know if we can count on conditions as good as yesterday but need to suss out Calf Crag for sure.

I've out a few pics on my blog and a bit of an account.

Yeah it was a great day out, and the ascent of Bowfell was the icing on the cake! Shame some of you had to get back. All your company was much appreciated and glad to been able to join the gang! Thanks for the organisation Daz and no worries for the sustenance, I'm glad they gave you a boost!!

I haven't sussed out how to show you the gps trace from the day but I can see what we did wrong on Calf crag - we just didn't go far enough and then faffed around for a bit before we found it.

Was out again today and it was NOT so nice! Was weird seeing our own footprints coming down off Bowfell to Three Tarns! Managed to do the rest of that leg down to Mickledore in some pretty miserable weather - very strong winds especially climbing up from Broad Crag Col, and then I got to Foxes Gully and it was just pouring with water so I bailed back down to Eskdale at that point!

Oh would those with cameras yesterday mail me any photos? It'd be good to have a record of the day out!

Yep, thanks for that guys, great company and some serious weather to contend with although thankful for the lack of rain! 3/4's always seem a good idea until the lacerations from snow and icy rocks become even more apparent in the hot bath!

Sorry we couldn't hang about for the Bowfell section would have been good to get up there but even dropping back when we did I was almost bad mother by racking up just after the school bell had gone!

    Thanks again

    Here's to the next one

    Emma
