Hope you can make it, would be interesting to see what time you could get on it and set a new course record!

We have taken 250 pre entries and the race is limited to 500 so you should be ok.

Well done RR on your run today, I'm sure you broke the course record as well.

I have to apologise for the no toilets and the registration before the race. This was due to the pub (Barn Stormers) changing hands in the past week and the new landlord not allowing us to hold the registration in the pub. The chairman of Lostock had spoken the pub several weeks ago and was told that we could use the pub, when he went to the pub yesterday there was a new landlord who had not been told by the previous landlord about the event and did not want to open his pub for the event.

Thanks for your understanding this morning.

Who'd be an organiser eh? Very trying.

No toilets isn't ideal, but hope everyone managed so to speak!

Well done indeed, but Andy Norman and Neil Tattersall ran 29:12 and 29:19 in 2005, so no course record - certainly not a race record anyway, although I think they changed the finish slightly a couple of years ago.

Andi - that was a fair gap you put over 2nd and 3rd who are in decent shape as well.
We managed to nick the team though

Clearly he'll make a do of this won't he - alienate a few hundred people, and turn down the takings from the after-race clientelle!

It was always heaving in there afterwards - big mistake I think!

Yes the course has changed a bit since then, I think that the very old course someone managed 28 something.

But a good run with the wind today.

    Hi Hopey,
Was windy today and tough going after yesterday.
Its a CR according to the race entry form I completed. Course record was listed as Tom C in 30.3x something, so heres hoping they send the extra cash as well as the prize for winning. Could be a fast course on a better weather day. I remember when Andy Norman ran this race.

Yes it was very windy today.

Yes Andy Norman ran it in 29:12 on the old course, but not taking anything away from your time today. You'll get the cash as you did break the current course record, maybe come back next year and break it again?
