    Harveys definitely, I suppose its personal preference really but I just find them easier to read on the move and there is enough detail, plus its easier to see the shape of the land. I did struggle to get one of the maps you need for the Fellsman last year from Harveys so jusy make sure you order early enough

    So 4th April from Fleet Moss, this sounds Ok to me at the moment.

    Fleet Moss onwards sounds good to me. The preceding section up to and down from Dodd Fell would have been good as well but I think that would be too much to fit into one day. Doing from Fleet Moss onwards is already pushing it to the max, in my opinion.
    I would like to do Dodd Fell as well and fnish at the car in Grassington but as you say that would be a long day....its in my diary so let me know re arrangements nearer the time..

    stef, theres a harveys map that covers the whole race area and its only 1 map as oppossed to 2 or is it 3 (?) os's needed its on the other thread fellsman-under long distance challenges, 12 quid and its waterproof!

    I was up for the recce on the 4th but my foot is still suffering from the Edale Skyline and last night's jaunt around Kinder hasn't done anything but aggravate it so I'm dropping out. Enjoy the weather!
