What is the weather like around Heaton Park. Over in Leeds it is bright sunshine and quite warm (but there again it always is). No fast running for months, quite apprehensive really but still looking forward to it in a masochistic sort of way.

I live 2 miles away from the Park Johnny, and i'm plessed to report that it's a gloomy, dull, dark, overcast, murky, dismal, dreary and depressing North Manchester morning.

Well I have to say that I really didnt enjoy....any....of that. Good to do it though. There are worse ways of spending a Saturday I guess...(?)

Muddy or what!!! It was, however, depressing to have streams of runners tear arsing past me for the first lap. Just couldn't keep focussed and felt a bit miserable all the way round... Think I need to weigh 7 stone for this game. Amazing women at the front....

Really sorry I could nt stay to watch men.... had my kids with me.

How did you all fare....update please!

Roadrunner won (again) & Track Fairy seemed to go well despite the mud!

Martin shouldn't have run, he's doing the LWA 24mile thingy near Kendal tomorrow so I hope he's not to knackered!

Survived the mud. Not enough hills for me!
Had a good view of the finish as all the leaders were lapping me at the time!

Danbert had a good run, I was going to follow him round but he ran away from me on the first lap.

Double or quits at The Summit tomorrow Danbert?

Quite enjoyed that, apart from the sticky muddy patches. Well down the field but no idea what position I finished.

Saw Danbert, Swoop and Roadrunner (well done). Saw Fetlock (or is she Mountain Goat now ) who looked to have a good run in the ladies race.

I think my fitness is slowly improving but something tells me it's going to be a long slow 12 miles at White Holme tomorrow.

Top tip: tie your shoes on VERY tight in those conditions. Saw several people grovelling around in the mud trying to replace their shoes.
