    The 50 Pull-Up Challenge

Due to public demand (are you lot mental?!), I've put together a 50 Pull-Up Challenge for you. However, as it's an Excel file, it won't attach, so if you want it, PM me your e-mail addresses and I'll fire it over.

    For form, see this link:

If you're in OHW's position on this one, try doing weeks 1-2 using negative pull-ups first (see video link below - keep to the overhand grip as demonstrated in the first video, this just demonstrates the principle of a -ve pull up).

Once done, do the initial test for a proper one - you should by now be able to knock out a couple at least.

    I havent got a pull-up bar.

I could rob some scaffolding poles and put them up outside my house - will have to ask my mum first.

    Initial Test: 11

Al, use whatever's to hand: tree branches, goal posts, kids' climbing frames...when I was addicted to these I would do them on the doorframe of the office loo cubicle! A quick 10 each time I had to spend a penny (the grip can hurt your hands though!)

Good stuff JD! Keep us posted on your progress. I'm gonna work it like this: press-ups; sit-ups (giving your arms a break); pull-ups! Bring it on
