Thumbs up PBR completions 25 July

Congratulations to Baggins who wandered nonchalantly into Nantmor at 18:45 yesterday having completed in 23:45 Great effort Bill - hope your feet have stopped hurting .

Cast of thousands on the final section from Capel included IainR and Sarah, Huw & Moo, Full Moon Addict; Wayne and Karl Percival put on a great spread at Rhosydd quarry. A really nice day out, Bill. Pics to follow.

We came across Andy Sutton's crew at Capel. He got round in 23:06

Over 80 completions by now? The trods seem a lot clearer than they were even a month ago!

Aye, well done Bill and Andy.

Be interesting to know how many that is this year. Must be 10 - 15 now, must be a record year by a long way..

Success rate has been high too, must be over 2 in 3 completions I think, maybe nearer 3 in 4.

Only with Wynns support can you run for 8 hrs and gain weight...thanks for all the cakes again..and the soup that was lovely.

I'm doing that leg again on Tuesday but I've wangled a lift on the road section..:-)

Dogs can have the day off on Tuesday, they've not moved today and are sleeping on the couch still covered in mud.. :-)

Yes, well done Bill. I was aware you were on my tail all the way round after starting an hour behind me. I think you closed at one point as I took a rubbish line off Garnedd Ugain and wasted 15 mins or so; certainly there were head torches not far behind over Snowdon. I'd be interested to compare our schedules some time! Hope you enjoyed the fine weather as much as I did - so glad I brought my attempt forward from the planned 1100 Saturday from Capel start - I think we had about the only 24hr window of dry weather for weeks. Certainly glad as I crawled out of the tent in this morning's rain and wind not to be going up Pen yr Ole Wen! Many thanks to all my supporters for being flexible enough to allow this last minute change of plan and for their superb efforts on hill and road. And thanks to RobW, IainR, Yiannis and others who, they they don't know it, have provided much inspiration and useful advice on route choices to me via this forum over the last few months.

Well done to Bill and Andy. Obviously Bill has recovered from his Ramsay attempt. Just about the only dry spell for a couple of weeks - well picked!

Many thanks to everyone who helped out, you all made it a fantastic day.
I couldn't have wanted for better support with jelly babies, water and bananas appearing before being asked for

Great roadside support fron Wynn and my wife Jean who seemed to be enjoying it more than me at times
