Looked a tough course today with the extra hill. Due to a cold I opted for the photo option. Link to pics at Flickr site below:

Thanks Ady - some good pics and very prompt.
Feedback to the new climb was exellent. It was tough, but I enjoyed it.
Hope everyone else did that had a go - Danbert, KevSpider definitely there and got around in one piece.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable cross country route with some nice undulations - tough going up but great coming down!! It was decent under foot too, with just the odd bit of gloop and a nice splashy bog bit.
Thanks to all at Mid Lancs League and host club, Blackburn harriers.

Good run Huf & Puf
What about me
And I saw Danbert who said "it was 1 lap too far for me" by which I now take it to mean "I wussed out!!!"
So did you finish?
What about your Rochdale buddy - let's face it Brian from Oldham managed fine and gave me a pat on the back afterwards for devising a cracking course.
To the Regiment - I Wish I Was There
Ran today ,hard course......looking at the results though ,209 senior men finishers..just 1 junior man under 20 in the field...not healthy for our sport.
Managed to pusuade my son to do it so spur of the moment decision to do it as a training run more than anything.
First XC for me in over 10 years....even made it as a counter for the 'A' team. I'm keeping quiet about there only being 6 BBH runners
Really enjoyed the extra hill as the thing that had put me of XC's was memories running round boring playing fields
Even introduce myself to Mr Worswick as he was basking in his new found Youtube fame
