Know what you mean about the heather. It didn't seem that bad last year but unfortunately took a bad line to cp6 today and suffered across the heather......it's the name of the game I suppose.

Also didn't take the best line to CP6, not too pleased to find that I had to turn left to it - was I following Maloni?

    Great race though.

I was a bit tender in the groin region so did not go through the heather to CP 6, I stuck to the path and picked up 3 places.

Did anyone of you top front runners cut across to the wall corner cause I stuck to the path there as well.

Not quite a top runner but I was one of a few runners who turned right at the shooting boxes and so missed out a corner en route to the wall corner at ckpt 3. The heather had been burnt so it was quite quick, but then it got very long and tussocky. Unlike last year though, I took the long route round from 5 to 6. I recced the route a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find a really good line.
3 minutes quicker then last year so really enjoyed it. Brilliant runs by winners Shaun Godsman and Janet McIver in a new Ladies course record...

Maloni did you stop to re tie your laces at the bottom of the field just before the Crow Hill Check Point?
