Suggest you tape your shoe laces for this one - running through the heather can cause problems.

    Great little race.

Might have a crack at this one as there's not much else going on. Never done it before so thanks for the advice Wycoller ~ I'll make sure my laces are concealed.

Plenty of advice on route choice etc on last year's thread: http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/showt...hlight=midgley

Depending on how I'm getting on with preparing for house move in next fortnight or so I might be tempted by this.

Anyone who has not done this one before beware: the grid reference in the FRA calendar appears to be wrong and will send you 4km away from the start as given in the CVFR site.

You're right Yiannis - I think the grid ref that Rod meant to put in the calendar (for registration in the cricket pavilion) was SE040271, not SE004271.

Did you allow him to do any navigating on the High Peak Marathon?

Well done to Shaun G and Alex W, a great 12 for CVFR.

    Midgley Moor

Was thinking of biking over to this then afterwards maybe a few beers in the Cat 'i t' Well or even Lord Nelson nearby if there are any ale drinkers out there?
