    Dogs and the BGR

Does anyone out there know if records have been kept of how many dogs have done the BGR? And if so, what times they did!? I heard a rumour that 7 dogs have done it, all of them Border Collies. Please don't laugh- this is a serious question!! I want to have a go with my lurcher(s) next year

I was talking to Pudgy about this on xmas on the fells.
Im sure 'feet in the clouds' mentions 4, giving plenty of time for another 3 to have done it!

I think IainR mentioned this once. He wanted to organise a relay team to get his dog round faster than Billy Blands time!

That's it you've riled me now... . Still say my Brown Dog could beat any collie over any distance between 100 yards and 100 miles. I'd bet my house on it (though Mr Longdogs pays the mortgage so who cares )...

But how do you catch up with them to be able to sit them down on foldaway picnic chairs, blow their noses for them, force-feed them rice pudding and change their shoes and socks?
