Well there were only two of us from Bowland and it wasn't me so it must have been Paul Morton. He didn't mention it at the finish though so must have been OK

I have to echo all the comments about it being a great race - even with a 650' climb to finish with!

As I heard it, it was the first 9miles and it was only due to lace malfunction resulting in losing a shoe that stoped you from "kicking my ass" all the way round!! he he!!

Fellhound, where are Bowland fell runners based ?
You must have got up early to travel to Blakey.
I am interested why you would travel to a race that had not been run before,do you know the area or have run some of the Dave Parry races before ?
I am been nosey realy .

We are based around the Forest of Bowland, which is roughly bounded by a triangle drawn through Lancaster, Preston, and Settle. It's a great wild area!

My reason for travelling (to cut a long story short) is that my girlfriend lives near Otley and so I was (fairly) close. I had a lot of choice that weekend but I think I made the right decision

    Hi

yeah, I said I would get back on proper details for North East Hill Runners Association - new club. Inaugural meeting is on Monday 13th April at 7.30 at the Eskdale Hotel, Castleton, North Yorks. Contact details Bob Lillie 01287 669181 or Dave Parry 01287 660309

Should be interesting debate between NYM and NEHRA members!
