    Yes it was the Polar challenge, towing the sleds, they finished 2nd (all dressed as Elvis, as they reckoned the North Pole was the only place Elvis had not been sighted at) They raised over £32,000 for Great Ormond St Childrens Hospital

    Seriously though my lad did quite a lot of running with a single car tyre then two fastened to a webbing strap then to his waist before he raced to the North Pole (320 nautical miles plus 65 mile walk from Resolute Bay to the start line) - Reckoned it helped enormously
    Robin Knox Johnston and Randy Fiennes were on the box the other night showing how they trained and that involved this very method. starting with 2-3 tyres! and building up to 5 pulling them up and over rubble etc.

    They were wearing walshes on their feet.
