Tight gash

I came of my Trials bike a couple of days ago and I've got a 6 inch gash right near my knee. When I bend the knee the gash gets tight. It hurts like hell- can hardly walk due to it being so tight. I'm off work and all I can think about is the gash- I keep playing with it and touching it. Any ideas?

I've just planted my spuds out, I know what you're thinking- 'a little late there aren't you #bob#?' And you would be quite right to question my horticultural timing, which I admit is a little out of sync this year.

But what can you do when you can hardly move due to an elongated cut which has seized up?

Got to be the first time I've heard of a tight gash being a bad thing :P

Think you'll just have to grin and put up with it. Only time'll sort it out. If I wet a cut it takes forever to come right, but if it's dry you feel it more.
