    Daughter shock

Got home last night to hear my 11 year old daughter tell me not only does she want to go for a walk but wants to navigate as well as they've been using maps at school.

Then she said she was going with a friend from school and I was not needed!!

So after a reminder of map/compass work she has set off over the local moor with Map, compass, telephone, radio, packed lunch and list of instructions.

I feel a discreet run coming on over the local moor....

Sneaky Ian, sneaky. Make sure its incognito...don your balaclava in this veritable spring weather. That will guarantee you don't stand out

I will keep my eyes peeled for helicopters in the area later on!

They will be just fine, I am sure of that.

I've just got back from my run. I saw them a couple of times and passed them by the trig having a picnic(they did know i would be going for a run), I don't think they even noticed me except to shout that when they got back would I make them some 'White' hot Chocolate

I offered to lay down a basic 'O' course near langsett for them which the they looked semi pleased esp when I said I would leave Mini eggs and jelly babies at each CP
