    Al, I'm cycling to the Lakes on the 19th if your free?? It's a sunday but will be cycling from mine TO the lakes...there won't be any trains involved!!

    Let me know if you're up for it.

    Hanneke,

    I'm driving up to Lakes tomorrow, hopefully marshall at Loughrigg in the pm, staying for about 6 days - do you fancy a short run out or a bit of a ride (I don't do long road rides if it can be avoided). PM me even if its just for a beer.

    Oh my dear god Em, have you lost it? That is miles!

    What time do you think we'd be home...ive got work at 6 on that day?

    Erm, i dont id be able to keep up but i could always cut it short when my legs die or just lie at the side of the road for a few hours whilst i wait for you to come back round.
    What milage are we talkin here Em?

    Need to get over 100 done Al probably nearer 120, would be an early start.

    100 miles, im guessing you wont be going too fast....hmmm....i could come and just have a shortened route.

    So i could give you company for say the first 30 miles....and then turn back?

    you could do Al yes if you want to get some decent miles in? see how you feel by the time we hit Lancaster say? I may veer off right from here and head toward Ingleton and come back via Clitheroe still a fair few lumpy bits to take in in that direction but the A6 up to that point would be pretty flat for you and easy riding back if your bonking.

    Lancaster it is then....best get my bike in to the shop soon the to see if i can stop this bloody squeaking noice its making.

    Pedals area....bearing may be knackered or just clogged up.


    Ive been giving it a good hammering down the canal paths lately and its either got full of mud or come loose/worn out?
