    15 Trigs recces

Use this thread for any recces of any sections of the Dark Peak 15 Trigs route...

    So, to start us off:

MOUNTAIN MAN & myself are going to be doing the section Sportsman Inn-Rod Moor-Emlin-Back Tor

    on Easter Monday (13th April)
    2 car jobby
meeting at Heatherdene Car-Park (GR 203860) (on A6013 on east side of Ladybower reser) at about 8:00-8:15am, and driving to the Sportsman for 8:30am start
and returning off Back Tor via Derwent Edge back down to finish at Heatherdene
(then drive back to other car at Sportsman)
    roughly 16 Miles
pace will be slow (if I have anything to do with it! )

    All Welcome!

Why not head down the HPM route from Back Tor and take in High Neb( the last of the 15) and run back to the Sportsman. It's only about 9 more miles

    enjoy it's a good run.

I have a long run later in the week so don't want to over do it. Hopefully that last bit is straight forward as well. Any tips for the route from Emlin - presumably direct up Wet Slack Ridge to meet the main path then south to Back Tor.

Thats right aim for New Cross then Cartledge Bents. on the full tour dump your bag here under a rock as it's a gentle run to and back from BT.

Worth trying to spot the trod that goes up Cartledge Brook towards MH your next Trig.

in the unlikely event that, coming off Back Tor, I am feeling up to it, I suppose we might consider this...

I have remeasured the basic route to be 15M, and looping it via Moscar-High Neb back to the Sportsman brings it up to 20-21M

I would still like the insurance of a car closer to hand though

Good to meet both DaztheSlug and Mountain Man and what a glorious day
The heather bashing from Emlin takes a bit of beating.
