I'm competing for last place in this one. Hardly run in 3 weeks due to health problems. Just want to finish...

No chance mate! I'm last.....there's probably a giant pork pie for the one who trails at the back.

What can I say about the, "run back up the hill and come down again" at the end of the race? Last time I did it, we crossed the road and ran at the edge of the golf course. SUCH FUN! Brilliant conditions, hate flagstones! Started at the very back with the usual banter and worked thro to somewhere around 60 and a few position wise. Thanks to everyone concerned. Tried to say thanks to as many of those on the fells as I could.
I have fallen in love with the young lady behind the counter, the one who made the Yorkshire Tea Loaf. I only had two pieces as I felt that this was only fair.

We must have meet then as I was also on the back row at the start.
Achieve my main goal of running Pule hill (at the side of a Holmfirth lad who was walking)
Turned an ankle on that last long down through the tussocks, but limped on.

A BIG WELL DONE to the Organiser and all the helpers including the Cricket Club staff. Great spread and excellent to see all the prizes given out.
    Thanks again.

    Re: Ian Roberts Fell Race

I was at the back at start and remained there for the duration. Not bothered as I finished. Think there was one or two behind me at end so didn't make last place. Still there's always next year. Thanks to all involved in organising a great run out, and to the marshalls for their patience waiting for crap runners like me.
